NEW QUARANTINE GUIDELINES, EFFECTIVE SEPT. 9

If students/staff are exposed to COVID-19:

Fully vaccinated:

No quarantine is required for FULLY vaccinated individuals who have no symptoms. However, exposed individuals should wear a mask and be monitored for 14 days for symptoms. It is recommended that vaccinated people get tested at least 5 days after exposure even if vaccinated to ensure they are negative and not an asymptomatic carrier.

Not vaccinated:

An individual who is not vaccinated has the option to return to school after day 10 without testing or after day 7 after a negative test result (test must occur on day 5 or later). No home tests.

Regardless of vaccination status:

An individual who has been positive for COVID-19 illness within the previous 3 months (90 days) AND has recovered AND remains without COVID-19 symptoms does not need to quarantine if exposed. He/she should still wear a mask for 14 days in case symptoms arise.

If students/staff are positive for COVID-19:

Regardless of vaccination, an individual who tests positive will be required to quarantine for 10 days from the date that symptoms first appeared. After day 10, if the individual has been without fever for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications AND if other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving, the individual may return to school/work.

(Loss of taste and smell may persist for weeks or months after recovery and need not delay the end of isolation.)

NEW - ZippSlip - Online Student Registration Form Portal

ZippSlip is the new portal that the Searcy County School District will be using for online forms and mass communication (callouts, text messages, and emails). Parents will be able to electronically sign forms such as: online school registration, permission slips, student health forms, and athletic forms.

One of the benefits of ZippSlip is that you will have to provide less information on student registration forms each year, thus reducing the time spent on paperwork. Data will be auto-populated based upon information that is already on file (addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, etc.) from previous years.

If we have your email address or phone number linked as the primary contact for your student, your account has already been created. In order to finish setting up your account, you will click the “Forgot your Password” link then use a one time password that will be sent to you.

If you or your student is new to the district, you will need to set up a parent/guardian account from scratch by clicking the “Sign up” link on the same page.

A link to the login page for our portal is located on the district webpage at www.scsd.info or can be accessed directly at: https://www.zippslip.com/zippslip/permissionmanager/AR/district/SearcyCountySD

Additionally, ZippSlip has mobile apps available on the Apple AppStore and on Google Play so you can receive messages, read old messages, and fill out forms more easily.

** We know some users are experiencing issues trying to register their students with ZippSlip. We are sorry for the inconvenience are working through these issues as fast as we can to help you get your students registered.
