Pre-School and Kindergarten Registration Announcement:
The Searcy County School District kindergarten and pre-school registration for the 2020-2021 school year will be conducted online Monday, April 20, 2020, through Friday, May 1, 2020. During this two week window, parents may log on to the Marshall Elementary School home page at www.scsd.info/8204 to complete the required registration forms which are located under “Forms” in the navigation tool bar. Please ensure that you complete forms for the 2020-2021 school year and not the current year.
A social security number or a state issued id is required to officially enroll. To protect student identity, the social security number is not required on the online form. After the registration forms have been completed, parents may contact the elementary office at 870-448-3333 to provide a social security number to enroll. Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. For pre-school enrollment, parents may call 870-448-4210.
For parents without access to the internet, the elementary office can be contacted via phone to request a registration packet and to provide a valid mailing address. Once completed, the forms can be dropped off at Marshall Elementary in the registration bin located in front of the office or mailed to us at Marshall Elementary School, ATTN: Registration, 201 West College Street, Marshall, AR 72650.
Other documents, including a birth certificate, immunization record, social security card, insurance information and well-child records will be required for registration as well. Parents may copy and mail documents into the school, scan and email the documents to Marshall Elementary Principal Heather Bohannon at email@example.com, or wait until the elementary office re-opens.
Children must be five years old on or before August 1, 2020, to enroll in kindergarten and three years old on or before August 1, 2020, to enroll in pre-school. If you have specific questions about kindergarten enrollment, contact the Marshall Elementary School office. For questions about pre-school enrollment, please contact the ABC Pre-school office.
Schools in SCSD will not be providing on-site instruction for the remainder of the school year due to the mandatory school closures. We will provide instruction through our Alternative Method of Instruction packets through May 21, 2020.

Marshall Elementary Continues The School Store & School-Wide Monetary System!
The faculty, staff and parents of Marshall Elementary worked hard to create a vision statement and direction for our school. The vision statement calls for the creation of a family environment that builds self-confidence in our students while emphasizing and instilling qualities such as integrity, responsibility, diligence and citizenship. In an effort to teach our students about these and many other core values, Marshall Elementary will be implementing a school-wide monetary system in which students earn school money for completing classroom and/or school-wide jobs that have either been assigned to them or they have volunteered to complete. The school money earned can be spent in our school store to purchase items ranging from necssities such as socks and backpacks to fun items such as sports equipment. Marshall Elementary will rely heavily upon donations to keep our school store stocked for students. We would appreciate your help in implementing our vision and inspiring a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility in our students! For more information, you may contact Mrs. Bohannon at 870-448-3333.
